No Homeless

Goal: To take all homeless off the streets and give them a meaningful life.

At Inades we understand how devastating, dangerous and isolating homelessness can be.

People sleeping on the street are almost 17 times more likely to have been victims of violence. More than one in three people sleeping rough have been deliberately hit or kicked or experienced some other form of violence whilst homeless.

These homeless people are over nine times more likely to take their own life than the general population.

We do not give up on anyone, and we are ambitious for all. This is why we introduced the ‘NO HOMELESS’ initiative which is not just to provide basic needs and support for the homeless, but to eventually reintegrate every homeless back into the system.

Types of homelessness.

Chronic

Living ethically is synonymous to living well. While fewer people live in extreme poverty, in 2018 almost half the world's population 3.4 billion people still struggles to meet basic needs

Transitional

People who stay at the shelter for only a short period of time due to a catastrophic event, usually younger people, who are forced to go to a homeless shelter for a short time. This is the most common type of homelessness.

Episodic

Those who are frequently going in and out of homelessness, usually younger, and due to abuse, unemployment, and experience mental illness or medical problems.

How do we intend to end homelessness.

  • By Identifying who and where these homeless are.
  • Providing weekly support of their basic needs. (Food, Clothes, covers, body care e.t.c)
  • Getting familiar with the homeless by engaging them in order to understand their individual circumstances.
  • Partner with several bodies and agencies to provide shelter homes. Gradually taking them off the streets.
  • Establishing an Ethical Standard centre for the Homeless, where they can be guided back into system.
  • Making them self-sustainable and useful resources to their community.
